Is it possible to add a mic/audio input jack to a computer?
I have this older microsoft computer that i want to put my audio recording/editing software on, so that i don't slow down my new computer. I already put the software on the computer, then i realized that the computer doesn't have a mic jack. There must be a way to add a mic jack. Is there a good how-to video? I'm fairly good at electronics/programing. Thanks!!

Why the comunication between the domain controller and the computers is so slow?
I have a domain controller and one workstation at home but the workstation get stuck "Loading your personal settings" and it takes forever. I guess the comunication between both is not working fine when I try to authenticate on the domain. I could join the pc on the domain though.
Make sure that DNS is properly configured on the DC. Make sure that forwarders are properly set, pointing to the ISP's DNS server(s). Make sure that the DC is pointing to itself for DNS, NOT to the ISP's DNS server.
Make sure that the workstation is pointing to the DC for DNS, NOT to the ISP's DNS servers. If you're using a DHCP server, make sure that it is handing out the IP address of the DC for the DNS settings.
If DNS is correctly configured then you probably have a corrupt profile. Log onto the PC with the local admin account. Rename the parent folder for the profile that you're using. Log onto the domain account again and log off. This will create a new profile folder. If this fixes the problem, go into the old profile folder and retrieve your files -- My Documents, Desktop, Start Menu, etc. -- and copy them to the new profile.

I want a portable multimedia device. I would love to finally have a good laptop. Or I could get the supposed apple tablet which will be revolutionary and amazing...

Aside from my doubts that the tablet will ever actually happen, think about its strengths and limits. It will be lighter and smaller. Presumably longer battery life. But, slower processor. Less powerful graphics- much less. No DVD drive. Few if any ports. Almost certainly tethered to a computer for support, like an iPod, iPhone, or Apple TV.
I would suggest that if you have the means to get a Macbook Pro, do so. The advantages of the tablet will only be in what it doesn't have. If you get the 13" it will be nearly as portable and lightweight.
Also, keep in mind that the iPod touch and iPhone provide most of the rumored tablet's features, but in a pocketable size for less money.
