How do I transfer from my JVC GR-D250 Digital video camera to my PC? Is there a USB connector available?

I am unsure what DV connector to get and indeed if my PC allows it. A USB connector would be so much easier.

since it is jvc digital, your better option is through firewire cable!
and if your pc doesn't have such port, it is available in many forms - pci capture card for desktops, pcmcia capture card for laptops; and external capture device (uses usb cable to connect to computer) for both desktops and laptops but expensive (no need to buy firewire cable, a/v cable/s-video cable can also be used with this device which gives the advantage of hooking up every analog and digital recording/playing device that has those type of output terminal).
even a tv tuner capture card will do!
