Even if I have a normal book light is it bad for my eye to read with it in darkness?
Don't forget. President Lincoln was an avid reader. all they had was a table lamp. As long as you don't have to strain your eyes to see the print, there is no harm done. A book light is much more than was available in the past. Many only had candles.
